Andrea is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist with 18 years of clinical experience in pediatrics. She is certified in Beckman Oral Motor Assessment and Treatment, Advanced Integrated Listening System (ILS), Interactive Metronome, and VitalStim Swallowing Therapy. She has also received advanced training in Lindamood-Bell’s Visualizing and Verbalizing, Dyslexia Assessment and Treatment, Sensory Integration, Neuro-Developmental Treatment, Pediatric Dysphagia, Apraxia Treatment Approaches, Behavior Management, Augmentative Communication, Tongue Thrust Therapy, DIR/Floortime Model, and P.L.A.Y. Project (Levels I and II Coursework).
Andrea earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Montevallo with a concentration in Psychology and a Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Montevallo. Her desire to help children overcome learning obstacles has led to an avid interest in the areas of dyslexia, auditory processing disorders, and language processing disorders.
