Conclusions and Recommendations:
As of September 2011, in addition to the objective changes on the SCAN-A, client is now able to attend church, go to restaurants and attend meetings. Balance has improved enormously and client has been taking a Zumba class and notes that her coordination has also improved. At her most recent optometry exam she needed new glasses because her vision had improved. Client promises to return for a repeat SCAN-A as soon as she returns from her trip to Nepal!

Comment From iLs Clinical Director, Ron Minson, MD:  “The response of this 60-yr old women 18 years post-TBI exemplifies the resiliency of the brain in mature adults.  It is also a great example of the neuroplasticity of the brain stem, as well as the brain.”
