I am looking for a way to improve my function/family member’s function?
We have a range of tools to help with a range of issues- both the Focus System and Safe and Sound Protocol [SSP] use sound. The iom2 uses biofeedback [your pulse] through a sensor.
Do I need to work with a practitioner?
The Safe and Sound Protocol and Focus System require supervision to ensure the correct implementation of the programs – there are a range of practitioners including- counsellors, psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, art therapists, educators and many others. The iom2 can be used independently but also can be used under the supervision of a practitioner.
What are the indications [reasons] to use each device?
The Safe and Sound Protocol [sound-based] to decrease anxiety, auditory sensitivities, communication, and social engagement
The iom2 Heart Rate Variability [biofeedback using sensor] to decrease anxiety, improve regulation, using biofeedback
The Focus System [sound-based] to improve neural integration – movement, balance [vestibular input] as a foundation for more complex processes
How long does each intervention last?
The SSP takes a minimum of 5 hours of listening.
The Focus System is more of a long-term intervention with programs lasting from 10 -60 hours
The iom2 can be done frequently [more than once per day] to periodically when desired. Best results are obtained with more frequent use.
